Since so many of us will soon be enjoying them, on ‘Eat A Cranberry Day’ I thought I would share what the magically delicious world has to say about the cranberry. Actually, this fruit was native to North America and Europe and were eaten by the indigenous Native Americans long before the Pilgrims made them a staple in their diet. According to magical manifestos, the cranberry is considered a ‘protective’ food and was eaten as a part of meals that were thought to provide safety and safekeeping from things that go bump in the night.
